There is a quote:
“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

Sasha Gammampila, originally from Sri Lanka and the founder of Deliqa Gems says “it’s important to give back and support local communities who have far less opportunities". Her support of the Foundation of Goodness in Sri Lanka, helps to bridge this gap by improving living conditions of these under privileged rural communities.

Many families cannot escape poverty and lack the opportunities without the valuable support and contributions that can make such a difference to their standard of living.

Deliqa Gems is pleased to be able to contribute to three new tube water wells and four new toilets to the impoverished village of 140 individuals in Aalady-Uduvil (Jaffna District) after a local monk publicised their plight.

Deliqa Community Contribution
Deliqa Gems is always quick to respond with contributions to support Sri Lankan communities during times of environmental disasters such as the landslides or floods that occur in central country on a regular basis, and with food donations for families without an income during the current Covid pandemic.
